Conservation at Willowbank
We are Kaitiaki
We are proud kaitiaki, guardians. It is more than just a belief; it guides what we do every day.
From breeding and protecting endangered species to supporting conservation projects and education programmes, we’re committed to giving native wildlife the care and future it deserves.
By actively supporting the Predator Free 2050 strategy, we play our part in protecting threatened species across Aotearoa, many of which are recovering from decline or are naturally uncommon.

These animals are part of a larger breeding programme between Willowbank and an offsite farm where they are rotated from display to pasture.
